About Me
Born in Daejeon, South Korea, I was adopted by a family in Melbourne, Australia at the age of 6 months. I grew up close to the forrest and hills of the Dandenongs, surrounded by nature and amazing landscapes. Both my parents were avid photographers and ever since I was a toddler I had a camera in my hands.
My professional background is heavily intertwined between broadcast, film and live events. Currently I am a Freelance 2nd Assistant Camera, a Broadcast Camera Operator and an emerging Arri Trinity 2 Camera Operator.
My previous career I worked with the global Virtual Production Superhouse, NantStudios, as a Senior Virtual Production Stage Manager. I was involved in the construction, operations and maintenance of the Largest Virtual Production Volume in the world (Stage 1). The smaller Simtrav Volume is situated in Stage 3 at Docklands Studios. I also oversaw and calibrated the Motion Capture system, comprising of over 200+ Optitrack cameras, Motive and proprietary Crown/ IMU systems. Additionally, I develop dynamic focus integration workflows with Preston and Arri focus systems, LED and camera sensor sync pipelines and operated/ programed the Wimotion Automation system.
I approach unexpected situations that arrive with urgency and curiosity. I enjoy being on the cutting edge of technology and innovation, inspired by those who came before us. I love building my teammates up, being a hardworking - great listener and with the goal of contributing to the success of the team and film production.
